Before setting new goals, take some time to reflect on the year that’s ending.
- What did you accomplish?
- What didn’t go as planned, and why?
- What lessons did you learn from your successes and setbacks?
2. Start with Your “Why”
When setting goals, dig deep into the “why” behind them. Ask yourself:
- Why is this goal important to me? Spiritually and personally
- How will achieving this goal positively impact my life?
4. Create a Plan for Accountability
Accountability is key to achieving your goals. Share them with a trusted friend, mentor, or accountability partner who can check in with you periodically. You can also join groups or communities that align with your goals; whether it’s a fitness class, business mastermind, or writing circle. For added accountability, track your progress and celebrate milestones. Recognizing even small achievements keeps you motivated and moving forward. 1.Be Flexible and Give Yourself Grace Life is unpredictable, and even the best-laid plans can face obstacles. Be flexible and willing to adjust your goals and timelines as needed without losing sight of your overall vision. Remember, progress, not perfection is the goal. And if you experience setbacks, don’t be too hard on yourself. Use them as opportunities to learn and grow. Every step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goals. Baby Steps Count! |
